Gordana Savic

Gordana lives in Belgrade, Serbia. She is married with three children. Her heart is for women’s ministry and her passion is to empower women through coaching and mentoring.

Gordana shares, “The idea ‘shut up and suffer’ is deeply rooted in the culture and seems to be part of the heritage of the Balkans.” The women Gordana works with are victims of psychological abuse, rape, and physical and sexual violence. This women stay isolated because they are afraid of condemnation and rejection.

Through the group work at the Soar Program, they are building secure relationships where many for the first time are sharing their experiences. Trust and freedom are found. As a coach, Gordana helps these women discover their value, gifts, and talents. They become aware of the impact they can have.

Praise:

  • I am grateful for the 20 women who have gone through the Soaring program and for the 5 new ones who have just started the program,

  • Praise God for two groups of ELP with a total of nine women. As 2023 concludes, the first has completed the fifth module the second group completed the second module.

  • Praise God for the health and healing of my husband who has been seriously ill this year.

Prayer Requests:

  • As a Mentor working with young girls and women in full-time ministries, I see a great need to "see" and "take care" of the new generation of young women. I’m planning four “Haven Retreats” weekends in 2024 for groups of up to 12 women.

  • Please continue praying for my health and for strength for this season.

  • Tirzah has phenomenal materials, speakers, and resources for getting to know these young women, take care of them, encourage them, gain better insight into specific needs, and possibly connect them with people and organizations in which they serve or lead as it relates to projects we have with Tirzah.
