Social Media for Social Change
You probably love social media for good reasons and find it frustrating for others, but did you know that you can leverage your social media to make a positive impact in the world? I will give you a few tips and tricks to navigating social media for social change.
Who is leading this webinar? Emma Reimers, Tirzah’s Creative Communications Director and resident millennial social media user.
How long will it be? About 30 minutes give or take. We appreciate you spending some of your morning with us and respect that you have lots to do on a weekday!
How do I join the Webinar? Use the Web Viewer (no download necessary):
Open the online meeting link in a browser to load Web Viewer.
On the Web Viewer pop-up window, enter your name and email address and click Join.
Click Phone and/or Camera on the Meeting Dashboard then follow the prompts to connect with audio and/or video. You will be placed on hold until the next participant arrives.
What's a webinar? I will be walking through a web-based seminar session where you will be able to see me on video as we chat and where I can share important items with you from my screen to yours. If you have an iPhone, you can download the conference calling app here. I downloaded it to test it out and I highly recommend it if you're going to be using your phone instead of a desktop and are attending the live version. You'll be able to submit questions on the 'webinar wall' chat section, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or text me at (925) 588-8057 and I'll do my best to answer them.
When is it? On Tuesday, October 2nd at 8 am PST (10 central for me!) we will connect online. You can visit this link at that day (or ahead of time just to check it out) and you'll be able to join the webinar from there.
What if I can't make it to the live session? Not to worry! We're aware the timing isn't going to fit everyone's schedules. We will be recording the session and will post it on our website. You will be able to access the recording of the webinar as soon as it's available at tirzah.org/resources-webinar.
What if I have issues with the webinar platform? I recommend first troubleshooting and reading the participant guide here as the software developers are the best at explaining how it works and what might go awry.
Thanks for your interest in our first webinar and for your commitment to Tirzah!
