Mai | pastoral leadership in Myanmar

Mai is a full-time pastor in the Church of God in Myanmar (Evangelical), where she’s served for more than 10 years. She wrote a little about her journey with Tirzah and the way being a pet of this network multiplies her leadership impact.

“I was introduced to Tirzah International by our Senior Pastor, Reverend Dr. Dorothy Colney, in 2010.

I am involved in all of Tirzah Myanmar's programs, including the medical missions held in partnership with local churches in the villages of Dalah, Saikpyoye and Phalone. These medical missions focus on those who are living with HIV/AIDS. I am very happy to serve in this mission. Many people have received healing!

Ma (a friend who is living HIV positive and is healing) and I go to Dalah village twice a month, meeting with women, sharing the love of God and teaching them handicrafts. We listen to their problems and pray together with them.

Originaly, our host was Zaw. He and his family opened their house for the medical and church mission work. We had a vision to have a church in this village. He and his wife were HIV patients. On January 19, 2019 he went to his heavenly home. He spent his last time at his mother’s house. Before he died he told his mother to open her house for our mission and she agreed.

I am very happy to serve like this because of God and Tirzah International's ministry.  May the Lord bless our Tirzah ministry and leaders.”

Tirzah is blessed with many leaders who multiply their impact through inviting others to participate in the work God is doing to make whole, restored, beautiful lives for women. Join us!
